Hibernator (x Karu) - Barrel Aged Imperial Rum Ball Stout
It’s one of our favourite times of the year. We shared a few drinks with our mates Ally and Nick from the Blue Mountains’ own Karu Distillery and cracked open their Outcask Rum barrels to see how our Imperial Stout has developed over the past 12 months.
This year, we were overwhelmed by the fruity, vanilla goodness, and it made us feel a little adventurous - so we decided to add some cheeky adjuncts.
In this case, we’ve gone with everyone’s favourite naughty dessert: rum balls - adding shaved coconut, cocoa nibs, and cookie crumb to complement the rounded chocolate and rum notes, creating the ultimate dessert stout.
