Here’s a beer named in honour of an Aussie hero Cliff Young, a potato farmer and ultramarathoner, who is the human embodiment of the ‘slow and steady’ ethos. He was the inaugural winner of the Sydney to Melbourne ultramarathon, which he ran in overalls and work boots with his own style, which became known as the ‘Young Shuffle’. Our brewers, similarly dressed, probably walked their own ultramarathon around this beer as it sat quietly for months, almost unnoticed yet never resting in our Katoomba basement, doing its own Young Shuffle if you will.

Using 100% Saaz hops, including as a small dry hop, this easy drinking Italian Pilsner has heightened earthy and spicy notes with an ultra clean, crisp finish.
